Hiqview Corporation, a fast-growing brand in IP surveillance solutions with innovative designs, has launched its high-performance 16-channel network video recorder (NVR), HIQ-3816, that features dual monitor output supporting both VGA and HDMI.
The HIQ-3816 is a 16-channel NVR that has been designed to manage up to 16 full HD IP cameras for 16 channel full HD live view, and it support multiple resolutions: 5Mp / 3Mp / 2Mp / full HD / Megapixel / FD1 / CIF / QCIF. The main compression formats are offered as standard in H.264, MPEG-4, and JPEG. The recording frame rate is up to 480fps @1920 x 1080, and the recording throughput is 80 Mbps. Therefore, no matter whether viewing live video or during playback, the HIQ-3816 is able to produce excellent video quality in real time.
The HIQ-3816 NVR GUI (graphic user interface) is designed based on the “simple and friendly” principle. The 16-ch NVR can be operated by local UI (User Interface) and web UI (User Interface). With a local UI, users can use a USB mouse, keyboard, and joystick to operate system networking, setting, recording, and event management. Via a web UI through using web browsers on a personal computer or mobile devices (e.g., smart phones, PDAs), users can easily set up and operate the HIQ-3816 from remote sites. This 16-ch NVR allows viewers to check the system flexibly as and when they need. And, more system functions, such as taking a snapshot, sending and receiving audio, as well as starting to record immediately and manually, etc. can be done at a single mouse-click both locally and remotely.
Google map is embedded into its web UI, allowing the HIQ-3816 to offer event alerts through Google Map. This feature provides instant event notification along with Hiqview’s IP cameras geographic information. Users can zoom in to a specific region to monitor events from cameras within the nevent-triggered region. If an event is triggered from a camera located outside the current viewing area, the Google map moves automatically to the area where the event trigger camera is located.
In addition, the HIQ-3816 NVR firmware can be upgraded easily by using a USB flash disk. Simply place the firmware file in a USB flash disk and plug it into the NVR, the system upgrade process starts automatically.
For applications of medium and large scale IP surveillance systems, Hiqview provides the HIQ-3816 NVR with a free-bundled CMS (central management system). Hiqview’s CMS is capable of controlling up to 16 units of HIQ-3816. In working with the Hiqview IP cameras, HIQ-3816 NVR and the Hiqview CMS can build a 3-level IP surveillance system to manage up to 256 IP cameras. The 3-level architecture is suffiently flexible to fulfill different system requirements under various environmental conditions.
The HIQ-3816 not only features high performance in central management, transfer, storage, playback and event alarm, etc., but is also an ideal solution to answer the demands of most applications for small and medium business as well as large scale surveillance projects.
