Vivotek are releasing their latest compact fixed indoor dome camera, the FD8151V, designed with a vandal-proof housing, IR illuminators up to 5 metres, low light capability, built-in microphone, and easy mounting and installation.
The FD8151V, equipped with a 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor enabling the camera to capture 1280 x 1024 resolution video at 30 fps, supports the industry-standard H.264 compression, significantly reducing file sizes, preserving network bandwidth and storage, and easing system loading without adversely impacting video quality. In addition, the camera is also compatible with MJPEG compression, allowing video streams to be transmitted in either of these formats for versatile applications. The removable IR-cut filter also adds day and night functionality so that image quality can be optimised based on lighting conditions.
Besides providing high-resolution video, the FD8151V offers fixed lenses of various focal lengths, which deliver a wide range of fields of view. The ePTZ function enables users to zoom in and focus on a region of interest (ROI) in the camera view with only a few clicks of a mouse. The camera also includes 32-channel recording software, built-in IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE functionality, and a micro SD/SDHC card slot for on-board storage. Because of its rich features, the FD8151V can be used in various environments, including but not limited to: offices, elevators, campuses, chain stores, boutique stores, prisons, and health care facilities.
Designed to make mounting easy and coupled with Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality, the set up time of the FD8151V can be less than 120 seconds, allowing installers to complete their installation quickly and easily. The camera is equipped with a vandal-proof housing and can resist violent impact forces allowing it to operate in high-risk environments.
Steve Ma, Vivotek’s Executive Vice President, stated: “With continuous commitment to meeting market demands, we are pleased to present a fixed dome product with market leading specifications to our clients. With rich features such as vandal-proofing, day and night functionality, and easy mounting, the Vivotek FD8151V is truly an ideal all-in-one surveillance solution that meets a wide variety of needs for indoor surveillance.”
